The center is beautiful with lovely building, observation tower and well kept gardens surrounding the complex. There is approximately a half mile of boardwalk which takes visitors out into the waters of the lagoon known as Laguna Madre. Along the boardwalk there are 6 bird blinds where people can stop to observe the multitude of bird species found in and near the water. A guided tour is offered in the morning on several of the weekdays. There is also a great staff and gift shop. The admission fee is incredibly reasonable.
Great seeing nature. Love my new blanket I purchased, art by a local artist.
Wonderful time! The place is clean and they have excellent costumer service! It's just a couple of dollars or so and it's about half mile walk. You can get binoculars at the gift shop if you need them and return them afterward. The binoculars are very good quality too! Don't miss out, if you enjoy nature. This is for you.
Great spot to look and walk around and learn anout some native birds and other stuff.
