Had a great time. Saw many different birds and types of fish and even crabs. The view from the tower is one of the highlights.
Never saw anything close to what the brochures and reviews say. All we saw were ducks, ordinary fish and crows, and some yellow butterflies. These are things anyone can see for free at any lake or pond anywhere in the US. We even rented binoculars and watched and waited for long periods of time at each viewing station. No native birds or anything unusual was ever spotted. No alligators, nothing. My kids were very disappointed and complained about how bored they were. Awesome place! A little hot and not the amount of animals we were expecting to see but it was still fun! And the top view was the best!!
Wonderful area to see the birds, butterflies, fish, crabs, ducks, herons, spoonbills. The entire walk is a raised boardwalk so you can see so much without people getting into their space. It’s a long boardwalk that is in full sun but there are several covered bird blinds with seating and water fountain. We spent a long time here and really enjoyed seeing nature undisturbed. There was warning of an alligator but we never saw it - another positive about being up above it all.
Beautiful place, with lots of wonderful nature to see, I enjoyed a slow walk and it took me all morning but you could do it faster. My favorite part was the alligators and the view from the tower was spectacular.
