Shana from patient relations was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional.
I was having a panic attack and one of the nurses hung up on me after I kept giving them my man’s name. They said I wasn’t giving any info when I was!!!!!! How am I supposed to know if my man is alive or dead
My younger brother was a trauma patient, he was hit by a car with multiple facial fractures including a broken jaw. The ER/trauma team tried to discharge him 4 hours after he arrived even though he clearly was not ready to go home. They once again tried discharging him the next day without speech and PT consult knowing he got hit by a car. Absolutely ridiculous, we took him to Cohen's Northwell hospital after we left this hospital. Extremely disappointed in the care, first and last time here
South Nassau has one incredible doctor, Dr Ferguson, the head of pediatric emergency. Everyone else is absolutely awful. I’d actually go so far as to say that the emergency room staff is racist and the charge nurses discriminate on who has access to emergency care and who gets seen first and who has to wait. Of course in an emergency room the biggest emergencies are priority, but when the entire ER of patients sitting quietly, not bleeding out, all get cleared out, 3 times over, while your two year old screams coughs and vom... read more
The physical plant looks good but the process is poor. Despite requiring a 30 minute on-line form filling for records already at Sinai, they did not have a key drug in their record and they had the wrong operation listed. The anesthesiologist was poorly informed, not current, and incapable of scientific thought -- this despite charging thousands of dollars an hour.
