RecommendedAnother perfect transaction!! Always a pleasure doing business with the owner, Chris Gargis. He and his staff are so knowledgeable and really helped me get my cobalt back in shape after a bad experience with another mechanic. Straight up good place to do business if you care about your boat the way I do.
Needed pontoon repaired. They came to Big Bay and picked the boat up and had it back to me the next day. Great service.
Ordered some parts from them and half of the parts got lost but other stuff came in. Here it is a month later still without the parts I paid money for but haven’t got yet.i wouldn’t recommend these guys to anyone
Took my 2018 115 Merc in for annual. Oil change, lower unit gear oil, lub, fuel filter, impeller inspection. Nearly $600. $95/hr labor for 4.1 hours. I WILL NOT go back there for ever.
Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Chris Gargis is a liar and thief. Has no respect for customers either.
Took my Searay 260 inboard/outboard to SMM not knowing what to expect. Chris and mechanics were very curtious, knowledgable and made repairs. The proof was when I took the boat to the lake and ran it all weekend. Ran the best it ever has. Smooth hum of engine. I have found a new boat repair shop nearby that I am very pleased with. Great job Chris and all involved at South Mississippi Marine.
Act like you give a crap about your customers or be up front with them if you don't want to work on their boats. Don't let their boats sit their for a month and not call them or at least apologize for not fixing it. No reason to treat customers this way. Would not recommend to anyone.
Best place in the south to take your boat! They are standup people! They will go the extra mile to make sure everything is working correctly! Top notch people!!
