The "Mental Health Teams" including the South Team are the 'Public School" of mental health treatment in Vancouver. I was a pstient for 15 years they practically cured me of my schizophrenia. Worked for me I guess. Highly recomend!

Only endless futile talks to pass the time...instructions, no logical and practical fulfilling help...Insensitive low-grade mental health system...Look around you, professionals...People are all over the streets and dying...Please Wake Up, Canada!
The "professionals" I spoke to on this team were horrendous. You will not find a kind word here. The emotional regulation this place is non-existant. They will yell at you, a lot, speak to you in ways that would never be ok in any situation. Sadly, this kind of treatment is still acceptable in parts of the mental health system and society in general. Ultimately, our mental illnesses can be controlled if we just tried harder.
