Great office and maintenance well kept property.
I absolutely have enjoyed my transition from Kentucky to South Lake Apartments in Virginia Beach. Sierra, the Assistant Property Manager has been extremely helpful and has went out her way to make my move as smooth as possible. I love my apartment; the living room, master bedroom, and bathroom are very spacious! The storage closet they give you on the balcony is huge as well. Moved in 2020, and just renewed our lease for yet another year. Apartment is super spacious - the storage closet outside by the patio is so useful. They repaved our parking lot this year and actually gave us a better reserved space than we had before. Maintenance is always quick to respond, and we've never had any large issues. The lake is so nice for walking around, and having access to both South Lake & Windsor Lake amenities is cool. I recommend it anytime someone mentions moving :)
I lived at South Lake Apartments for about 2 years! My unit had a issue with mold in the vents, closet, and behind wallpaper in dining area! I was encouraged to clean it myself and vents were cleaned by maintenance. However, nothing major was done to resolve the issue as it continued to grow back. I even had a specialist test the mold which was found to be hazardous in some areas! I would not recommend. However, the staff in the front office was nice in spite of the poor care of the units.
