I would not recommend South Jersey Moving Company. Not only did they wait until coming to my home to tell me I needed my own blankets to put between furniture while in storage, but they damaged my furniture. I told the crew not to take a basket of clean towels because it did not belong to me, but they used those towels to wrap dishes and glassware anyway. Then, I had to have someone climb over all of my furniture in storage to find that basket to get the glassware out and return the towels. When I called to discuss this, I w... read more
South Jersey Moving did an amazing job moving us. It turned out that we underestimated how much stuff we had. They got a second truck out within an hour with extra guys. It was a VERY long day for us, especially for the seven movers. I wish I got all their names. They were very friendly and in good spirits despite all the extra work. They took great care of moving our things and made sure they placed boxes and furniture exactly where we wanted it. Thank you all so very much! We couldn’t have done it without you!
South Jersey Moving made us miss our closing time by close to 3 hours. Their employees were riding my childrens’ bikes around the street while racking up their hourly rate. A second truck was needed for the move and when the driver showed up he said in exact quote “this is too much work for a Friday” and left! By the time he was convinced to come back and do his job we were far beyond our closing time. 8/13 They came to our house an hour and a half outside the window they gave us. Went through our home with 5 guys all the while hugging and puffing. When we get back upstairs the crew went outside I suppose to complain and then decided they didn’t want the job and cancelled on us!!! They claimed the rain wasn’t safe. It’s literally spitting out.
