I attended the South FL Symphony Orchestra’s “Mozart’s Requiem” last night at The Parker and I loved every single second of it. I don’t usually listen to classical music and I thoroughly enjoyed this performance, so much that I’m looking into future performances to attend. I thought it was phenomenal and I’m actually listening to Mozart’s Requiem right now and remembering all the songs I heard last night. Thank you, South Florida Symphony Orchestra for giving me a new-found love for classical music. Great job Bravo!!!!!

I saw Candide last night and it was terrible. The music was awful-completely flat. It was like a listening to an old transistor radio. The conductor was awful. She didn’t seem to understand where a single note should land. We left at intermission. It was just to painful to listen to. If I were the Bernstein estate, I would ban her from ever getting near a piece of his music again.

They performed last night with the Classical Mystery show at the Broward Center. In my opinion their performance was lacking. Appeared they needed more practice and better conducting instructions. Very disappointing. Music was just not great.

Respectfully, I found one aspect odd in having the chorus members all sitting at the same level behind the orchestra. This apparently forced the organizers to place the solists in front of everyone - which in my view demerits the actual orchestra. The entire chorus should be in the back, at a higher level than all musicians (like on a stairs platf... read more

I want to thank everyone involved in tonight's "sold out" performance of Beethoven's Ninth at the Broward Performing Arts Center. You truly captured the music and more importantly heart and soul of this monumental piece. So proud of you all!
