Honestly, out of all the YMCA locations I’ve been to, this one is by far the worst. I don’t understand why every other branch is newer, cleaner, and has better hours. This location always has something broken. whether it’s the only water fountain in the gym or pieces of gym equipment. The large workout room smells terrible, especially in the winter. It feels like there’s poor ventilation because it gets extremely humid and damp, which makes it uncomfortable to work out especially when you need proper grip or traction. On top... read more
So I grew up with the South County YMCA which I would frequently refer to my 2nd Home. After all it was always just a few blocks away and I used to walk or ride my bike there and go exercise or shoot hoops etc with friends when I wasn't at Wrestling practice or Cross Country. After Graduating college at URI, focusing on career and having Kids this place is again begun to fill a place in my life. Simply fantastic and professional
Such a tight budget schedule for a high-pay membership. Wouldnt recommend if you plan on only coming to this location
