I was held here from August 9–11, 2025, after being transferred from St. Mary’s Hospital for suicidal depression. What I experienced at South County Mental Health Center was not care—it was neglect and psychological abuse. The facility was filthy and freezing, with bug infestations and no access to basic hygiene. I was denied a toothbrush, soap, clean clothes, and any form of therapy or counseling. A score of one star is too much.The worst mental Health Center I’ve ever tried to contact and schedule therapy and psychiatrists appointments. Was told I don’t need therapy, I needed a life coach. Was told without any prior knowledge of my mental health status that I could not benefit from therapy.?…..Shame on them!
