I was admitted to the hospital this past Sunday, and was discharged today Tuesday. I suffered from acute Pancreatitis, and Hypertension. The Staff (Nurses and Doctors) were phenomenal. I want to give a round of applause to: Sophia Rustemi, MD, Julie Parrillo Director; and the following RN’s- April, Katie, and Renee; also I want to thank the following LPN’s- Julia, Lilly, Stacy, and Ying. I wish I could give a rating of -10. SHAME ON YOU South County ER!!! The trauma wasn’t the accident that got us here- the trauma was the experience at THIS hospital that followed after! When a young child needed compassion, they got intimidation. How does a hospital entrusted with caring for vulnerable patients allow the experience at the hospital be so frightening and coercive??? We had the worst experience at the ER of South County Hospital! My daughter was brought in by one of her friends as she was experiencing chest pain & her heart was racing to the ER about 10pm on October 14th. She had to wait in the waiting room & was told to check in at the kiosk. Didn’t work! The sign in the ER states if you are experiencing chest pain, please be seen immediately, come to the front desk. She said she had chest pain. Then waited & waited & then got into the ER. The ER doctor was the only doctor on the floor ... read more

Ha 3 stars, this place is an absolute shit show. Understaffed doesn’t even begin to describe the help. I was here for 9 hours waiting for an MRI and then the MRI tech left for the day….at 4pm so I was forced to stay overnight just to be able to get an MRI….most of the staff was rude and the DR was anti vax.
