No appointment needed, ttwo techs, so they worked on two cars at on time. Clean shop, gentle with the car, polite, clean waiting room. Price with coupon discount was about $39 plus DMV certificate fee. They send your pass test results directly to DMV over the Internet and print you out your own copy. Overall, a pleasant experience.
This was unfortunately the first smog check location where I felt my time was not respected. After being asked to take a seat, I waited for over 30 minutes without receiving any service or updates. During that time, I observed the owner and another employee assist two customers who had arrived after me. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this shop. I always come to South City Star Smog Test Only for my smog checks, and they’ve been super reliable every time. There’s enough parking to temporarily leave your car, and the small waiting area gets the job done. No need to make an appointment — you can just walk in. I’ve always been able to get service right away without waiting. The service is fast, friendly, and efficient. The whole process takes about 15 minutes or less. My last smog test cost $80. Definitely recommend if you want a quick and hassle-free experience!
