Attended the award day for K and 1 St. Very proud of the K Teachers. They recognize every student for something no matter how big or how small the student did. Sorry can't say the same for the 1st. Very disappointing in the teachers. No matter who you are, every child in that class worked hard all year to get to this day. Make A/B all year and that not improvement? My son attends South Brunswick Charter School and I can not say enough good things about the teachers, the curriculum and the headmaster. If you are looking for a GREAT school in Brunswick County, consider this fabulous school!
This school is absolutely amazing! Michelle Mena is wonderful to work with and she heads a staff that is dedicated, enthusiastic, and completely focused on providing the best education for each child. The school and Michelle Mena do a great job of communicating about school updates and news...it really helps parents stay involved in the process! We LOVE SBCS!
My son Victor go to this school and he is doing so well. I'll admit I was a little worried that he wouldn't like it and he would miss his friends from Southport Elementary; but he is doing very well. Plus he is learning some stuff I didn't learn until l just 4th and 5th. Soon he will be teaching me a thing or two.
