i had horrible experience with south bay metals. Not only did they put a ding on my truck, but their pricing was outrageous. When i asked the counter guy to make it right, he was extremely disrespectful and told me to get out. i do not recommend this place-stay far away these guys dont care about you one bit.
This place is not what it used to be, big dramatic buy out. No more scrap metal, basically just selling off what small amounts they have left. Used to walk in and browse different types and sizes of metal both aluminum and steel, flat stock sheets pipe random scraps weird items too and now it's a store more than a yard. This place lost its touch. Staff is still the same and great people just the place is no longer the same anymore
It ain't what it used to be. The business has undergone an ownership change and they moved the office into the inventory shed and the materials outside. Less product selection, no used product, $4/cut to have your material trimmed, and higher prices than the competitors. The owner and worker were very polite and helpful. But if you think people are going to travel to the middle of nowhere without offering great prices and selection, as the previous ownership did, you aren't thinking right.

Workers were friendly but there is no longer any inventory. It use to be the place to go but not anymore.
