Stopped by today at Soundscape and remembered why I've been visiting there for over 20 years now. In that time I've purchased a few things (amp, Pre/pro, receiver, sub, speakers and misc.) and had many good conversations about quality high end audio. Always a pleasure to engage with these extremely honest and knowledgeable guys. They really take the time to understand my needs, the what's, why's and how's! So about 3 weeks ago I felt like a complete dummy when I bent and broke my rega ania cartridge’s stylus. Soundscape in Baltimore, Maryland come through with a 25% discount and installed the ortofon quintet bronze with shim kit under the asking price of a new ania cartridge. It’s only been a few mins but I already like this cartridge much better than the ania. Ask for Justin and he’ll take of you. He knows his business and is very friendly.
I'm late in writing this review, as I made my purchase in 8/23 but forgot to leave a review at that time. It was great working with Ed to hear various options in person. It also felt good to support a local, family, physical business!
I really had an incredible experience shopping here. I know a little about audio equipment, but was certainly hoping for some help choosing an amp and set of speakers for my vinyl turntable. I've been to plenty of other stores where the "customer service" was condescending and tried to upsell me. Soundscape was very different.
