My Lenovo X1 Nano mainboard died suddenly (both Thunderbolt ports not working/charging) and I didn't do a good job backup my files over the last ~3years. Sound Microsystems informed me of all the items (like Bitlocker recovery key) and options avail before any full data restoration should begin. Sound Microsystems was able to restores my data quickly and my sanity has been restored. Thank you very much!
I came in with my Framework laptop that I dropped, and unlike all the other laptop repair places in the area that I tried, the guys were at least willing to look at it with their eyes and tell me which parts might need replacing and what I might be able to do to fix it, as well as acknowledge that they don't have the parts or specific info for this very uncommon brand. Great service. Friendly, quick and honest feedback about what was wrong with my machine.
So I call, explain issue with broken hinges on laptop under warranty, was told to bring it in. Drive 30 miles, was told needs more than one part, can't fix, and I need to ship it direct to Lenovo.
