I bought my first turntable from Sound Image in 1986 when they were over by Emory University, and have always been thrilled to have a Linn dealer in town. I recently asked for their help upgrading my circa 1993 LP12 turntable and had a great experience. The results are fantastic and they were considerate of my goals and budget. If your stereo is not frequently giving you goosebumps (it should), do yourself a favor and go listen. They will reset your expectations about what a home system is capable of.
I've been assembling audio systems since I was teenager in the 1980s, and this has led me to many shops in the many places I have lived, from NJ to OR and various spots in between. I drove from Augusta to Sound Image to experience HiFi Audio for the first time. I am an aspiring audiophile who was in search of audio bliss that one reads about or learns by online videos. This customer feedback is spontaneous and unrehearsed. I am so happy!! After considerable delay (on my part) I was finally able to meet with Mr. Lawson Hale, proprietor of Sound Image. He installed the upgrades and returned my LP12 in short order and in the best condition it's ever been. Mr. Hale was very patient and considerate of me and my situation. His assistant Luca enjoyed licking my face. I intend on returning to upgrade the spindle bearing and bring doggy treats. I am so happy and I believe you will be too!
Lawson and the Sound Image staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Communication was great and all services were done in a timely manner.
