Visited on a Friday night. Not impressed. Had sliced brisket and rids. No flavor. Cold slaw was bland. Will not be back. The free ice cream was excellent.
Our first visit (Tuesday night) was not impressive at all. The sliced beef had a bad taste to it, spoiled/sour for lack of a better word. I am hoping that we do not get sick from it. Fried cabbage was good, beans were ok. Customer service was lacking. Have no desire to go back ever. :(
I got a whole slab ribs and it was so over cooked and dry that we tried to eat it but we couldn't. I would have taken it back but it was too late I would have called but there is no phone number on the cash ticket. George Moon
I when to soulmans yesterday and brought two sandwiches round beef slice and sauage. got the sandwiches to go, on our way back home I open up and my beef sandwiches was full of fat, yes fat, I waste my time and money for that sandwiches never again will I eat at this soulmans I don't like giving money away, I want good food and not fat. if that is what you serve then I I want be back and nor will anyone I tell how sorry the food was. what a waste, customers are your business if you don't car about them you will not be in bus... read more
$15 plus change for lunch! At about $7-8 I would be back. But $15 is way to much. Decent food but the price is off the charts.
There is nothing so special about this food that it warrants a 30 minute wait in line just to place your order! Both times I have come I've had to wait at least 30 minutes once inside and just now in the drive thru. Improve your service time or I won't be back!
Both the brisket and the chicken lacked any depth and flavor. Service is as expected, although self serve cafeteria style doesn't really count...cafeteria food would be an accurate description.
I've been going here for years and they portions are hugh and the price is great. It's a good family place with plenty of atmosphere.
