It wasn’t worth the money or better than I would have made at home. The Mac and cheese was ok but too salty,the two stars is mainly for the sweet potato pie which was perfect. The texture of the meat seems gooey and the collard greens are kind of bland. They definitely need to up their seasoning and fresh herbs. The corn bread was decent but insanely dry.
This was my first visit here. We always look for healthy soul food and Soul Vegetarian did not disappoint. My husband and I had barbecue tofu, collard greens, mac-n-cheese and cornbread and hibiscus tea. When I tell you that you must visit this place. You will be so glad you did. Also, the customer service was excellent. It is a very clean place and the atmosphere was relaxing. Thank you Soul Vegetarian We will be back when in town.
Soul Vegan absolutely lived up to the hype! 🌱🙌 I had the breaded tofu sandwich, the salad with their incredible house dressing, the vegan mac and cheese, Snickers cheesecake, and even took home two of their house-made Snickers-style candy bars. The vegan cuisine is a delight. Crafted to perfection to mock soul food. Privacy error with the website need to be resolved. Maybe not https://. Got mobile warning. Ambience has a dungeon feel to it. Can dine in. Staff berry customer oriented, always a positive. I think this joint has the Garvey Burger reminisce of a Soul Cafe in Chocolate City across from Howard University long ago. Parking can be tight and this cafe is saddle within community surroundings.
Picked up food from here today and it was some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had! Definitely will be back and would recommend to anyone, even if you’re not vegan or vegetarian.
