I chose Sorrel to live in because it seems like a quiet and well-maintained community. I know I'll do very well in this apartment complex. The people at the reception are very friendly. I think that's something that favors them, because they are always attentive to answer any questions or concerns.
Alright… I’m someone who never writes reviews, but after reading Kimothy’s call outs, I couldn’t take it anymore. I moved in when this community first opened back in 2015. And yeah, of course there were some issues here and there throughout my lease — no place is perfect. But my god, this is probably one of the best apartment communities in all of Jacksonville. Security: Sorrel decided to remove the electric gates that keep people out and provide some sense of security. Fix the gate problem, don’t just remove them because you spend $200k a year in repairs. Hire a company that will put in a steel gate that is properly anchored and that can not be spread apart by people trying to get in or out. Put in better sensors that will stop the gate from closing on automobiles if they have to stop or are driving too slow. Let’s start with we moved into Sorrel apartments in 2021. Everything was great it was a five start place to live. Shortly after our first year, it started to go downhill slowly. In 2024, I got diagnosed with Cancer I went to the office begging for an apartment on a lower lever since 37 steps were a lot for my heath after 7-months of chemotherapy.
