Cool tranquil bar in the heart of NYC
I spent a lot of time here with my husband (back then my boyfriend) in the early 90s when we were dating and he had a soccer/football team on the lower east side. Ironically we got married and named our daughter, Sophie. His “mates” often joked that I named my daughter after the bar. Brought her here today almost 20 years later and it is still the amazing bar it always was back in the day.
I was there in the early nineties, it looks still the same. The one dollar beer was great and Jack also. Amazing it still exists

Simply the best bar I've ever had the pleasure to frequent. Great beer, lots of pool and a sharp atmosphere. Staff really helpful. Hope to be back soon!
