Best quality/Best price I now live in Omaha but often think about Soon's whenever I eat Korean here. We used to live on the hill above in Navy housing and the smell was out of this world. Nothing like it unless you are in Korea. The Ford's

The smell is what brings them in! My husband absolutely LOVES the kal bi here! He doesn't eat it all the time, because he wants to keep it as a special treat for himself, but the smell as you are driving by is just so overwhelming! They fire up the ovens around 10am, and from then until they close, all you can smell is cooked kal bi (Korean shortribs). They are a great deal for the money. You get your main entree (they don't only serve kal bi), rice, and potato-mac salad. All for only around $4-$5.

Soon's Kal Bi Drive is not good I spent $18 for hard and flavorless kal bi and bbq beef. Did not taste good at all. I think the meat was old. Looks fancier so it might be new owners. Good luck hope it's better than my food. Waste of money. So sad

Korean Kal-Bi Heaven If you live in the Moanalua Salt Lake area you know the barbecue smell of Soon's Korean Barbecue. I especially love their Soon's Special which is a large mix-plate delight. It is right across Aliamanu Middle School and I recommend this to those that love Korean food.
