I had an amazing experience with Dr. Sonya Kenkare, MD, FAAD. She performed microneedling with radiofrequency on a facial scar, and from start to finish I felt completely comfortable and cared for. She provided pre-procedure medication to help me relax, explained every step of the process clearly, and was incredibly kind and reassuring. DO NOT SEE HER. Terrible experience. I went in for an annual exam. Rude person. Bad attitude. Condescending. Just a rotten human being. Extremely snippy and a real jerk. Wish I could give zero stars.
As a net new patient, I had a difficult experience with her and her office in managing through 2 skin surgeries and will be changing dermatologists immediately. In my experience, there was insufficient expectation setting for the nature, severity and impact of the procedures. I had an absolutely terrible experience with Dr Kenkare!!! I saw her for a serious skin rash that started on my wrists, probably from contact with something while trimming foliage, but must’ve been systemic in nature because it spread to my arms, legs, neck, buttocks and even my crotch over the next few days. I explained all of this to her and she just prescribed two topical steroid ointments to apply twice a day. I tried scheduling at this clinic, and it was a terrible experience. I didn’t feel heard when I asked for the codes. To discuss the cost and the lady on the phone was not helping me. Just passing me along to the insurance and billing. They need to be more educated up in the front to have conversations with patients on codes and asking the for more information. To make people comfortable to walk into this place.
