No Reason to Return – I love downtown and we had passed by this place many times and vowed to stop in. I have seen people out on their patio over and over again, so I figured it must be good. We went for dinner and were seated promptly. The place was packed, so good thing we had reservations. We ordered margaritas which took quite a while to get. The food was not as I imagined. Excellent coconut shrimp – Great food and great service.. Very clean and very nice setting for a date.. All the ingredents were fresh and tasty especially loveed the artichocke with dippining sauce.. so hard to find on any ones menus now a days
Excellent Cuisine – The Sonterra has excellent, interesting cuisine. The entres were great and the bananas foster in particular was fantastic (though pricey)--and I wish we had tried their fresh made guacamole. The ambiance is upscale yet warm and the staff is friendly. However, I found the service to be a bit slow, particularly with drink orders. Would still go back; I'm hoping the sluggish service was the exception and not the rule.
