Kids were so excited to go tonight, we get there around 7 pm and all the drive ups are blocked with cones , the second drive thru is blocked with cones, I sat at the first window for about 5 minutes letting the kids decide what they want and finally I said “hello, are you guys even open” no response. Decided to finally drive away and only one car in the entire parking lot, building completely dark. No signs anywhere saying they were closed like most places will out even a hand written paper at the drive thru. Very disappoint... read more

I don’t usually feel the need to write a scathing review, but once in a while, it is completely necessary — and unfortunately, this is one of those times. I genuinely don’t understand how the Sonic location in Smithfield, RI is still operating. First, we pulled in during rush hour/dinner time, and the place honestly felt like it was closed. Waited 40 minutes for food at a bay, had to drive through the drive through to get it after no one responded to the call button. By the time I got it and was able to pull away I realized they had forgotten one of the burgers. In their defense there was only two people working in the whole place. If I were management I would have just closed for the day. I can only imagine how stressed the two employees were. Proper staffing would do wonders.
