When 38 weeks pregnant and requesting to have cervix checked for more dialtion i was told that “it doesn’t matter wether you’re 1 or 5 cm dialated it won’t tell us anything”. And then dismissed and acted like i never asked to be checked in the first place - When your patient asks you to check them - you check them, you do not dismiss the question or make them feel inadequate. My first pregnancy my doctor checked me every week from 37-40. Poor, “know it all” bedside manner.
