We stayed at Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island during spring break for our first visit to Hilton Head Island. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and did not make us feel welcome. Every evening from around 9:00 PM, the crowd noise from the main lobby bar (right next to guest check-in) was unbearable in our room. It made relaxing or sleeping nearly impossible. This hotel is NOT a four-star resort. Good luck getting ahold of anyone. And when you do, they are incredibly rude and disorganized. My entire family came in to surprise my mom for her birthday, and we did not get the rooms we booked because they "overbooked" themselves (their words) Easter weekend.
