3 Star — Charged Twice and took more than 2 week for Correction. I stayed at Sonesta Essential Houston for 2days with booking of 2 rooms and was charged twice for my stay. I used my card to pay, and it clearly shows two identical pending charges. I brought this up immediately at the front desk, and they told me not to worry — that one charge would drop off. The reason I'm having to stay in hotels and sleep out of my car right now is because I had toxic mold in my last apartment and had to throw everything away. I have high levels of mycotoxins in my system. I haven't been able to go to many hotels in Houston due to poor air quality. This hotel is one of them. I'm assuming it's had some major water damage in the past. The room I'm currently in has so much (unseen) toxic mold that I can barely breathe in here. I'm very sensitive to it. Stayed here on August 1.. Arrived and the front desk gal was sweet. Paid our unknown $100 per room deposit… Unfortunately she works for a very nasty poorly ran hotel! We reserved two rooms due to the size of our family to enjoy a little vacation. Well enjoyment was cut short! We had German cockroaches in both of our rooms!
