Rooms were not that clean unfortunately and the furniture had been used. Seeing on the chair had loose pieces of fabric. Couch smelled funky and the room was very warm. Air-conditioning didn't work properly and was only provided in the bedroom. Walls were thin and could hear neighbours talking (on normal volume). Edit 11/21/25 Sonder filed for bankruptcy. All staff fired and all guests told to leave. No refunds from what I have heard. Sad. The Sunset was great. Edit 07/30/23 This review is for the Sunset not the Sonder. I have not stayed since the rebranding and “remodeling” that happened so review may not be applicable. No service staff are employed at the Sonder, no breakfast either. This is my 4th stay here in the last year and it is a great place to stay. Great location. Can walk most places. Rooms clean convenient check in and out. Luggage storage on site so you can tour without having to worry about your luggage.
Great stay for first 3 nights on Canadian road trip. Apartment was huge and full of everything that was needed. Good location with nearby food and drink places in minutes walking distance, especially handy after arriving on late night flight and just wanting to grab something quick. Parking is quite tight to get in/out of as is down a back road to the rear of the building, thankfully it wasn’t at full capacity when I stayed so this gave extra room for manoeuvre, but can imagine this would be hard when it is full.
