1/5 Stars - Terrible Experience, Avoid at All Costs Absolutely the worst accommodation experience I've ever had. I was traveling from overseas and they cancelled my reservation just 24 hours before departure due to overbooking. Instead of taking responsibility, they kept deflecting blame and repeatedly claimed it was a "system issue" while insisting they weren't at fault. TOTAL SCAM. This was the WORST Airbnb experience I have ever had. I booked Airbnb for 6 guests in Chicago that had 2 BR and a pull out sofa MONTHS in advanced. Wow…. Cannot say do NOT book enough! I am glad to see SOME people are having an okay time, but my sister and my family booked this for her wedding and BOOM. 48 hours notice the reservation was cancelled. “System error.” They had booked a YEAR ago and they gave the apartment to someone else. “You’ll get a refund.” Okay, where does the whole wedding party stay?! If there was an option for ZERO . I would. My daughter rented the 2 bedroom with rooftop patio access unit the minute reservations available ONE YEAR AGO to serve as the hub for her Chicago Winery (which was fabulous) wedding . 36 hours before check in, she received a brief , curt text stating her reservation had been cancelled due to “systems error”.
