Door to room would not open via text link. Had to get a manual code from front desk. Took forever. Staff was slow and seemed flustered. Terrace door did not lock and terrace was accessible to other rooms as well as communal patio space. Did not feel safe and staff seemed to brush it off. Another guest came down with the same complaint while I was talking to the front desk. Had to move rooms. We were downgraded to balcony and hotel did not offer any compensation for the exchange. I stayed here for my birthday trip to New York and originally planned to book the Arlo Skybox in Midtown,thankfully I didn’t. This hotel completely puts it to shame. The views are absolutely stunning, both day and night. The whole space has this moody, sexy ambiance that just makes the stay feel elevated. Awesome hotel, greeted by Anthony at the front desk who was very accommodating and friendly. Was super jet lagged and he managed to check me in early. Would come back alone just for the service! Room was very clean and great view. Spacious too considering this is NYC.
