Hotel Solarena has the "bones" for a potentially great hotel. The website description of beach view could only possibly work from the 3rd floor corner rooms (there are only 2), where you will see a teensy piece of beach across PCH, and through the side street. See the photo of my balcony beach view. The carpet in the hallways is disgusting. The curtains in our room were dangling, not in the way a curtain should (see photo). Received exceptional customer service from the staff and resort. Location is exceptional and a couple hundred feet away from the beach. Staff was very attentive including from Yash. He was very helpful throughout the check-in process and in assisting guests accessing their rooms. Would definitely come back.

You can not beat the location. You just cross one street and you’re at the beach. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but it’s clean. Good parking!
