Have not even arrived at the property yet and this has been our experience so far.
Horrible, nightmare customer service!!! I’ve waited over 2 hrs of my time on the phone. Called them to change the name on a reservation that I booked through my cc travel portal. They couldn’t help because I’m not the main guest, even though I booked it for myself and I added the name of a guest, their name got defaulted to main guest. Bad bad bad! I fell for the Marriott logo, and I booked this place with a nonrefundable noncancelable rate which was high enough at downtown Chicago. Remember, this is Marriott rate! Just two days before check in they informed me the elevator was nonfunctional and they were working on it, which led me to believe that it would be fixed by the time I checked in. We booked 3 months in advance of our stay. We confirmed and received the codes for the building and unit we were supposed to be staying in 24 hours in advance. Then 3 hours later they canceled on us saying there was a glitch in the system & the elevator was out. They did this to make more money off someone booking last minute for Lallapalooza. Don’t stay here unless you want a huge headache
The apartment is good (except the sofa bed), but there is a nigth club downstairs and it is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep!! Insane. Do not stay at this building from Thursday to Sunday morning. Not mentioning the out of order elevator.
