Booked a stay for an anniversary vacation to relive and celebrate some memories of where my partner and I had met and vacationed before. We were getting ready for bed and noticed the sheets/comforter were dirty with dirt, stains, or some sort of dark smudges on them. We notified the staff through the Chat and even went to the front desk within operating staff hours and nobody was there to help us leading us to believe they left to go home early. Where do I start… This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I stayed here for a week, and during that week the hotel decided to renovate the room above ours. It sounded like the builders were going to come through the ceiling, with their drilling and hammering. The hotel wouldn’t move us until the last night, but it was too late by then as we were checking out in the morning. The room felt cold (in an atmosphere sense). You should avoid this place at all costs. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a hotel. I’ve stayed at a nicer motel 6. Whoever took the pictures of these rooms was incredible. The rooms are pretty awful. We used the online check in and got to our room only to find our code didn’t work. After 2 hours on hold (they don’t have front desk staff past 11pm), we were given the MASTER KEY TO THE HOTEL and told to enter our room. This hotel is about the location. The beach area just in front is a local surf spot and private feeling which made for all day entertainment and a truly relaxing weekend. Walkable to multiple restaurants and coffee shops. Away from the noise of Forest (the Main Street) area. It was fun to explore a new side of Laguna I hadn't seen before. The hotel was clearly a previous beach hotel with lipstick put on the pig. We went through booking.com and it seems like we always get a back room upstairs. It had a balcony, we could barely see the ocean, and the whole deck area was worn down. A lot of the furniture had holes and the pool got shut down on Sunday and was green.
