I NEVER leave reviews but HAD TO for this. It was The WORST steak I’ve ever eaten in my life. I am not exaggerating. I eat A LOT of steak and have never tasted a Filet like this one. Maybe it wasn’t even a Filet Mignon, who knows. The color was off, the texture was off and the taste was off. It tasted like maybe it was a frozen steak that was microwaved and then thrown on a grill to get the charcoal flavor. You know how leftover steak reheated in the microwave has that weird taste. Drinks were quick and okay, I drink dry martinis so it’s hard to mess that up.. my friend didn’t love their drinks but like I said they were quick, bread was amazing, ambiance was good, however the steak frites looked just thrown together. This is a $41 plate and the cut was all fat.

Our waiter was great. Very attentive, yet didn’t hover. The views of the bay are fantastic. We sat right by the edge so we could look out the window. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre at best. It reminded both of us of food served at an event hall for a wedding. Very unremarkable, bland, uninspiring.

We had an amazing experience at Sonata! The warm & friendly staff greeted us at the entrance, scanned our tickets so we were show ready, and guided us to a beautiful table overlooking the marina. On top of the top notch service, the food was artfully plated & delicious!! I will be back for sure! :)
