Their own website gave me the option to schedule a tour on a Monday. Received a confirmation email stating they showed an appointment for me on Monday at 11am. Showed up to find out the leasing office isn’t even opened on Mondays. Tried calling the number and the voicemail wasn’t available.
Probably the worst place I’ve ever rented, thankfully it was only short term as I would describe Sonata as borderline unlivable… The front of the building is covered in a 4 story LED green sign with the name “Sonata” on it, this sign stays lit all night and illuminates the inside of rooms on the front of the building. It’s not dark, or even close to dark, it’s neon green inside the room. It feels like you’re either sleeping in Dr Frankensteins lab…or an insane asylum, whichever sounds better to you. I've been trying to get a hold of someone at Sonata for four months now. The phone is never answered and they have a voicemail box that is "unavailable" so I'm unable to leave a message. I've received no response to my emails or inquiries on the website. Not sure if it's different for the tenants currently living there, but it makes me worry about their response times to tenant issues.
Overall great place to live. Management is wonderful, and everything is new and in good condition. Honest downsides: the units are small (at least ones we saw), the construction is basic (minor things like two drawers in a corner and you can’t open both or they’ll block each other), and amenities are nothing fancy if that is what you’re looking for.
