Was recommended to Sommerset by my financial advisor to correct income tax filings that their lack of diligence created. Was determined that I should file an amended tax return. OK They would get it done after "tax season". Fine with me. Gave me a price of $1500.00 for this. It was a personal (non-business) return. OK. Ultimately waited about 18-20 months after a few communications in between. Received an invoice from what is now CBIZ for $1850.00 which I promptly paid late December of '23. I have never worked with a more incompetent and unethical company in my entire life. I have no idea how they are even still in business. Lie after lie, mess up after mess up, shady business practice after shady business practice. PLEASE do not make the same mistake that I did, and take your business elsewhere!
I hired CB and John McClary to file my small business taxes. They gave me an estimate of $3000 but ultimately sent me a bill for over $6000. As you can imagine, I’m very displeased.
