Macie, the manager, is truly awesome! She’s incredibly outgoing, makes you feel like a best friend, and always remembers the little details. Her dedication ensures that your stay at Somerset is nothing short of excellent.
Somerset is definitely a place where you live for the people. But, to be honest so many people are leaving because it is starting to not be worth it. Out of the 6 girls in our apartment 4 are moving to a different complex, for many reasons lol. The price you pay is definitely for the closeness to campus. That’s about it. The laundry room is the biggest hit or miss game you can play, like genuinely.The complex itself is mid range living, which I have no problem with. But, things quite literally fall apart. I have lived at Somerset for the past 5 semesters and have loved it. This complex attracts such a good group of people which makes the wards fantastic. Our current management is incredible. My apartment had some struggles these past couple semester and Maci and fought to advocate for us and get us everything we needed. She communicated with us and would often check by our apartment just to see how everything was going and make sure we were getting the help we needed.
I've lived at Somerset all four years I've lived here. There has been a lot of ups and downs when it came to management, maintenance, the small lot, the laundry mat, roommate, clean checks/ white gloves, and price increase with no improvement on the buildings. But I have also felt Somerset and it's managers doing what they can to help. Macie, who is the current manager, has been phenomenal in help with all current and past issues. I really enjoy living at Somerset, not only is the complex filled with kind, social and considerate people, but management continues to encourage that unity with activities and parties. Our apartments are comfortable and when things need fixing I have not had a problem with them being attended to in an orderly fashion. When I have needed help, Macie has always been diligent in ensuring we find a solution. She actively works to build trust and confidence between herself and the tenants.
