Lawyer up.
Absolutely atrocious appointment with this doctor. He was rude, condescending and did not address the patient (my grandmother) with questions as he should have. Forget about autonomy. He gave a drastically life changing diagnosis without considering all of the history and other important factors that he was presented with. He showed no empathy for the patient after delivering this news. He asked a question that I did not know the answer to and I told him I didn't know the answer, so he yelled at me and asked again, and conti... read more
This doctor shouldn't be practicing since he doesn't have the patience to do so. He barely let me explain my symptoms and even yelled at me while I was telling him how I felt. He didn't seem to take me seriously and was dismissive. I am definitely going to look for another doctor.
Terrible doctor and a poor excuse for a human being. He couldn’t find a test that I had done and he started to yell at me to stop looking at his personal property when I asked to help him find it on the screen. He scolded me and pointed to the chair and told me to “sit down, this is MY personal property and I can’t let patients see it! If it’s ABOUT me then I have every RIGHT to see. He would interrupt and yell if he didn’t like what I was explaining to him. I got up and walked out on him. Awful
I felt like a victim of domestic abuse who is stuck in a room with her crazy raging abuser! To be clear, the Doctor did not touch me except to shake hands when he first entered the room. I was on guard, however. I was ready to protect myself using violent means if necessary to get out of the room. What a rude rude excuse for a human being this doctor is. He needs serious help or he needs to stop practicing. I wonder if he would behave this way with a man. Scary guy.
After a 5 minute conversation during which Dr. Laowattana interrupted me and criticized the care of my other trusted doctors, he ordered several tests that weren't necessary and claimed that the results were normal. After more tests, he changed his mind and claimed that there was inflammation and wanted a lumbar puncture. I never talked to the doctor again, only the nurse. Frustrating and a poor experience. Switching neurologists soon!
Dr. Laowattana diagnosed a serious neurological issue quickly that every other MD missed for many years. He actually listened carefully to my symptoms. Thanks to his careful diagnosis I was able to receive treatment which has greatly improved my life.
Somchai Laowattana, MD has a 1.9 star rating with 9 reviews.
