Clearly the best bagel in Davis. It's more expensive than the other places in town, but it is also a superior product. Staff was pleasant and attentive, and though the store front is small and a little crowded, there is seating in back, and outside. I appreciate the family bathroom with changing station! I just wish they had a location on the other end of town.
Business response:
Thanks Aaron! See you again soon!
I'm really happy that Solomon's is at the Davis Commons with a space full of color, friendly staff and good food as well, this is the place for people looking beyond that your corporate Subway. I got the sandwich with the organic chicken salad -The Frannie, it was just perfect for a hot day. What else can I say... they just got a new regular.
Business response:
Thanks Angelo, we agree, The Frannie is amazing! See you again soon!
Everything was fresh and delicious, I highly recommend the Russ. The staff was friendly and made helpful suggestions about the menu. It was a very hot day, but the patio was cool in the shade and we were able to eat outside! We will be back very soon to try the pastrami.
Business response:
Thank you Abra! See you again soon!
The food was really good and the service was excellent! The serving sizes were reasonable but the prices where high. No left overs. By the time we paid for a sandwich, side, drink and tip we were over $40 lunch for two. Everything was charged separately and adding a tip for the servers made this place to enjoy once. But not for regular lunch out.
Business response:
Thanks Rick! What did you order?
The Solomon’s staff who catered our recent Holocaust Educators Network Summer Workshop were very professional and a pleasure to deal with. Our lunchtime spread arrived on time and our workshop attendees had the opportunity to learn a little bit about the history of how Solomon’s came about, while filling their plates with delicious breads, bagels, smoked white fish, egg salad, corned beef, pastrami, roasted turkey, salad, cookies and lemon bars. We heard nothing but rave reviews and will definitely consider using again for f... read more

I dreamed of the tuna melt and the coleslaw! I will be back very soon.
Coming from the Jewish Restaurant Deli and Food Business I was looking forward to Solomon's I have officially been crushed. There is a niche market that can very successful. Not with the food that I ate. Under cooked potato salad with no flavor, crunchy cole slaw, not sure about the chopped liver that lacked flavor and well lets not say, the hot corned beef lacked the proper technique for being steamed and sliced. They are calling their bread better then rye. MMM not sure. I think i was given a pickle. Not sure what is was.
If you’re calling yourself a deli, have fresh food, cooked potatoes in the potato salad, cole slaw not from a bag, rye bread that is fresh and doesn’t fall apart, corned beef that doesn’t have a grey rim of fat, ice tea that is cold, or served with a glass of ice, chopped chicken liver that is chicken liver and is smooth not chunky, a pickle that is green, not yellow. I could go on; but the powers that be think it’s just wonderful. Well I wish them mazel tov, oh excuse me, they NOT a jewish deli! They called themselves a jewi... read more
