Solera is the perfect small-town wine bar. Colleen, the incredibly talented owner, pours wines from all over the world. If nothing on the list grabs you, the back room holds hundreds of very reasonably priced bottles to choose from. Her pizza is just as good. The rotating menu has something new and funky every visit, plus mainstays like Italian sausage and mushroom. I’ve tried over 20 varieties and never had a bad slice. Solera also low-key has the best beer list in town. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!
I would be here every night if I could be! One of the top things I miss about living in Grinnell. Great people, great pizza, great wine, great dogs
Love Solera, Colleen, the pizza, the wine, the overall vibe! Colleen has created a community-centered space that is inviting and comfortable. An evening here is like an evening in a friend’s home. Simply the best!
