SolarMax abandoned my system and left it non‑functional with zero support. My Tesla inverter failed, they misdiagnosed it, left discontinued SMX hardware in place, and never commissioned the system correctly. My system has been down since December. I dont know who is rating this company so high, but they deserve a 0 star rating. Once they got you, they WILL NOT be there to fix, you can forget about returning emails or calls. You are stuck in limbo with a system you'll be paying many years on without any type of customer service. Ive had it and now I have to go through the better business bureau and the Solar protection agency. Read the BBB complaints to confirm what im stating. All the bad reviews must have been cleared out.

I have to give a shout out to Simon C. He's the sales lead on my parents solar system. He went above and beyond his job description to figure things out for us. We ended up with a lot of questions regarding the system and instead of going through customer service, he was able to answer them or get things done without going through hoops. A good sales person should always be knowledgeable about what they are selling and how it operates; and he has the knowledge to back up his products. 6 companies later we settled on Solarmax and it was worth the due diligence. Had our pool installed and our home fence upgraded at the same time. By far the most professional of the 3 groups. Arrived on time and finished on time. I can't state the same of the other two whom still have not finished.
