Big thanks to Mike’s crew (Rob and Armando) who came out today and installed our new panels! Great experience all around.
Disappointing … while our system was still under its warranty by the original installer, approx 10 panels stopped functioning properly. We reached out to original installer, SkyPower Solar, only to learn that SkyPower was acquired by Solar Technologies but that Solar Technologies would not honor the SkyPower warranty (disappointment #1). Fast forward … it’s been nearly 8 months since we paid Solar Technologies to troubleshoot and fix system but the broken panels remain. Robert and his install team did a great job with my 7 panel system. They were in and out in under 4 hours. Clean install and accommodated my requests on joiner box, conduit run and breaker locations. Jason on their sales team is very helpful and well educated not just on the product but also on the construction process. This was very helpful as I am in the process of a full DIY remodel.
Overall, we are very happy with this. There were some glitches-- the city of Berkely required roof support strengthening, including a code inspection: we did not expect this. Happy we had the choice of the non-Tesla battery. The installation was painless. It's great to see how much power we are generating every day and over the year, we make enough to offset electricity grid usage.
Solar Technologies was a great partner in my solar journey. They were very patient with me as I got up to speed with the different options. When I needed a change, they supported my need and made it happen. Robert and his whole team are professional, kind, and respectful. I’m very happy with my solar. It’s working great and I look forward to a long relationship with Solar Technologies.
