Soggy Bottom Waterproofing saved me 6 Grand and fixed my crawlspace humidity levels. They were great to work with and offered to do the job for more than half of the price of the competition. We went with the partial encapsulation, which consisted of sealing vents, a vapor barrier on the ground run to the base of the walls and a dehumidifier and this got my consistent humidty of 98% down to 50%! These guys were great. While other companies tried to convince me I needed a full encapsulation with a price tag of $15-20,000, Soggy Bottom came in and told me exactly what I needed to keep my space dry. It ended up costing less than half what everyone else was quoting. When the inspector came back after Soggy Bottom did their work, he was very impressed with the work they’d done. Highly recommend!

The team at Soggy Bottom Waterproofing, including the owner, was very kind and professional to work with. The work they completed has successfully lowered the humidity in our crawl space to under 60%, which I greatly appreciate. That said, I do have some concerns about the installation. The plastic was rolled out across the floor but was not extended up the walls or piers as outlined in the NC residential code, which recommends 6 inches of plastic up the walls and piers with seams sealed.
