I deposited a mobile check, it told me if it was deposited by 5pm est. The funds would be available the next day, I did and the funds were not available the next day. I contacted cust service and was told 5 days for processing, in todays digital world sofi knows immediately if the check is good. So they are either are processing it and holding the money for some reason to their benefit, or they are not processing it for 4 days for some reason.
Don’t bank or invest your money with SoFi!! Learn from my mistakes and save yourself the pain. My husband and I opened a Roth IRA with SoFi and recently decided to move our cash to a different brokerage. We started the transfer and all seemed to be going smoothly then SoFi flagged our money as a security issue. Now it’s locked down! I’ve called multiple times and they won’t do anything about it or let me talk to the security team or manager to resolve this. It’s very frustrating and feels like a stall tactic.

I have had a decent experience with SoFi overall and haven't had any major issues with the bank itself. However, I was very disappointed with the support I received after losing $1,500 to a scam. Unfortunately, SoFi was unable to assist me with recovering the money, which was incredibly frustrating and disappointing given the amount involved. Opened an account on SoFi, they closed my account randomly with thousands of dollars in it, said “it doesn’t belong to you” and took it away from me for no reason, best advice I could give anybody is to NOT bank with SoFi
