I am elevating the rating from a 1 to 3 based on Jake's phone call. I was frustrated with the process but I appreciated his call to explain to me how settlement was determined. Nice of him to call to explain their point of view, and doing so many months post settlement. I think my problem was more directed at their client than them.
This company is truly shady. I have had multiple businesses with workmen's comp policies through them. During the last audit they decided my lawn care business paid out 31k in one month to employees, this was a side business that paid out 11k total in payroll that year. This was an egregious error, when I called the name of the person who supposedly performed the audit she couldn't even tell me what renumeration meant (payroll) and could not answer any of my questions.
