Lovely walk along the Merrimack River. Could use a couple more benches for us older folk to sit a spell and especially to enjoy the beautiful views of river! Had to walk quite a ways in to find the first bench, but thankful for that at least.

I have volunteered for the Forest society for 9 years now and have gotten to know the staff and other volunteers who are great, dedicated individuals. A great deal of time, money and back-breaking work goes into not only the protection of NHs forests through sustainable forestry; but also protect wildlife, ecosystems and establishing recreational aspects like hiking and other low impact rec. There is a lot that goes on and a lot of support required to make all this happen.

We have been a member for many years, walked their trails and attended some of their instructional hikes. They do their best to protect what they can under very difficult circumstances.

Why would I recommend an organization that has no regard for historic preservation. They will demolish anything that doesn’t serve their purpose. I can not stand behind this organization at all. Very sad.
