Completely incompetent people working here. Went to show proof of ID to process my SS benefits. Waiting 4 hours, I gave my ID and filed out the forms to a Black woman named J. CLARK. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Make you wait on hold for over 4 hours to get a call back to make an appointment to get a replacement card. So you go down to the office to make an appointment and wait 2 hours to get an appointment, because they won’t help you without an appointment. Come back during your appointment time and wait over 90 mins, just to be told our system doesn’t work and you weren’t checked in properly. Still waiting 2 hours later.. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been trying to get a hold of someone for over 2 months. I had a letter come in the mail saying that I had an appointment scheduled with them, but that call never came. I tried calling the number on the piece of paper (the extension) but it would immediately hang up. Racist towards minorities. There's a reason why they ask you what your race is. They ask so that they'll know how long to take when it comes down to sending you your replacement social security card. Been told that we owe money due to our son’s SSA being overpaid, even though that is not what was happening and we cannot do the appeal online and we cannot go into the building for Social Security without setting an appointment however we cannot get a hold of anybody in order to set an appointment.
