I had a wonderful time at the cactus blossom yoga retreat. I was particularly impressed by the Breathwork program – it was intensive, profound, and yet safely guided, allowing me to fully open up. The food, freshly cooked by Chef Perla was excellent: varied, delicious, and perfectly tailored to the needs of the retreat participants. SoCal wellness retreats is a gem! From the moment I walked in the door and saw John’s beautiful energy and huge smile to the last day. When I was driving away, I truly can say that this has been an incredibly nourishing and fun experience. What an amazing retreat! Totally out of my comfort zone and not a me event at all. It was an experience of a lifetime. John was amazing, he has given me many ideas/tools to use in my daily life and those I hope to continue to use each and every day. The friends I have made on this retreat will be friends for a lifetime! Don’t think twice, you have read about this and now my review, sign up and you will never be disappointed or regret it! Just do it!

I had no expectations going into this retreat. I wasn’t sure what it was going to be like but I decided to commit to whatever was offered. I learned a lot about myself during breath work and meditation. I challenged myself with yoga and the cold plunge. Not only was I scared of attending (new people, facing trauma, etc), but I was dubious that anything would "work" for me. Why would it? It hadn't up to that point, right? Cut to the last day of the retreat where our group felt a true loss at having to leave the retreat and each other. The retreat itself is nothing short of amazing.
