Went to OC Smiles on Friday 3/13/26 for a loose implant because my dentist is closed on Fridays. Helena was great and the only good thing I will have to say about my experience. I didn’t need a diagnosis, since I told the dentist that my implant was loose. He decided to take a ct scan, charge me for it and charge me for his false “diagnosis.” $290 later.. he told me I need a New crown and wanted me to pay $2900 and to return for 2 more visits to “fix” it. I was referred to this office last year and I have had nothing but wonderful treatment here. All staff are so welcoming, helpful and nice! Dr. James is nice, respectful, makes sure you are comfortable at all times and he is quick, efficient and gentle! They are even open WEEKENDS! This is so helpful as it's hard to schedule appointments around work during the week! When you are in the chair there are windows right in front of you so you have a view of 17th street. Would highly recommend if you are seaching for a dentist!
I have been coming here for the last 5 or so years after a terrible series of experiences at a large nationwide chain with a location in Costa Mesa; it has been night and day switching to SoCal Smiles. I’ve had nothing but pleasant encounters each visit, so much so that I referred my husband to become a patient here too!
